Sheldon Lavin is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OSI Group. LLC. He joined this firm four decades ago when he was brought in to assist in the management of the firm after it grew rapidly from the mid-20th century. Lavin has seen this company come from a humble beginning to now that it is a multinational. When he joined, it was just a company supplying hamburgers to the McDonald’s– the only client they had at the time. Currently, it is a global company with a presence in multiple countries and has employed over 20,000 employees. Sheldon Lavin is assisted in management by David McDonald.

David McDonald is the Chief Operating Officer as well as the president of OSI Group, LLC. McDonald had spent numerous years in the industry where he had had an opportunity to work with other organizations before he finally landed at OSI Group. He has previously been the chairman of the North America Meat Institute.

Sheldon Lavin has been awarded for the great role he has played in the food industry while leading OSI Food Solutions. He was awarded the Global Visionary Award by an organization called Vision World Academy which is based in India. OSI Food Solutions has been expanding its business activities to many places as possible. It also has been expanding its facilities in some areas as demand goes up. One of the plants that have undergone expansion is the one in Toledo. The plant was expanded so that it could increase the production of chicken products. There is high demand for chicken products in Spain and Portugal, and the increase is expected to keep going up. With these projections, the company has created room for more production in future.
