Not many people can juggle two careers in different industries, but fashion mogul Chris Burch is quite exceptional as he teamed up with hotelier James McBride in 2015 and bought a beach hostel that is now the best resort in the world after renovations. Found on the Indonesian Island known as Sumba, the five-star resort is called Nihiwatu, and it cost the duo $30 million to renovate it from a hostel to a resort. Nihiwatu made it to the top after it was voted by Travel+ Leisure in 2016 as the best.
